Bad Veterinarian Or Do You Not Trust Him Enough?

Do you have a bad veterinarian or are you simply not trusting him enough?  Knowing your vet, trusting him, and having a deeper knowledge from their point of view and work ethic can really make taking your dog to the doctor more meaningful.

Not to mention when you get along with your vet, you will go more often for the check-ups that so desperately go undone for most dogs and cats today because there is a lack of trust on the pet owner’s part.

To help you better understand the concerns of most veterinarians out there, take a look at the following items. For starters, there is a good chance that your veterinarian feels exactly the following way in their practice:

1) They genuinely care about your animals and you.  For the sake of your dog, you or the business, they want to see successful outcomes, healthy pets and satisfied clients. The only way a business can grow is to make sure the client is happy enough with the serve to return.  A bad veterinarian would not worry about this.

2) The majority of vets worry about getting sued, or being brought before the state regulatory board. This worry is disproportionate to the actual chance that this will happen, but that doesn’t change your vet’s concern of this possibility, which may make some vets better doctors, and in other cases, more paranoid and less willing to take chances.

3)  Most vets feel that his income is not commensurate with the amount of time and education that it took to become a veterinarian. But also on the other hand, vets are notorious for undercharging people, giving away free services, and feeling guilty for thinking they charge too much.

4) Remember that most vets do not mind read. If you have a concern, make sure you express it with your vet, because I’m sure they would like to know.  A bad veterinarian wouldn’t.

Your vet tries to do his best under difficult circumstances that present themselves on a daily basis, If you can look deep inside your own attitude, perhaps you are not giving your vet enough trust, communication and open-mindedness, your vet might be such a bad veterinarian after all.
